Privacy & identity verification

Why we verify identity

CallStation numbers can place and receive real phone calls, which makes them a target for fraud and harassment if left unverified. Before we activate an account, we confirm the applicant controls the email and mobile number on the account, and we review a government-issued ID to confirm the applicant is who they say they are.

What we collect

  • Name, email address and mobile number
  • A one-time verification code sent to your email and phone
  • A photo or scan of a passport, driver's license or ID card

How it's stored

ID documents are encrypted at rest on our own server and are never made public. Only you and our admin team can view them, and only to confirm your identity. If your application is rejected, we delete the uploaded documents automatically 30 days later. Approved applicants' documents are retained for as long as the account is active, to meet our obligations as a telecommunications reseller.

Who reviews it

A human administrator on our team reviews each application manually. We don't share your documents with any third party except where required by law or by our underlying telephony provider's own compliance obligations.
